I'm Ivan Kosov. I run HalfHour Chess and this site. This page says what happens to your data. It's short because I collect almost nothing.

What I collect

• Your email address, when you type it into the form yourself
• Where you came from. A short label such as yt-desc, taken from the link you clicked. It tells me which video or profile sent you. It says nothing about you.
• Whether you open my emails and click the links in them. My email provider records this.
• Page visits, counted without cookies and without tracking you across other sites
• How far you get on the masterclass pages. Which screen you reached and which board you solved. My own counter records it, without cookies and without your name.
• Session recordings on this site, made by Microsoft Clarity. Where you scroll, what you click, how long you stay. Anything you type is masked before it leaves your browser, so the email you enter is never in a recording. Clarity sets its own cookies to tell one visit from the next.

What I do with it

I send you the link you asked for. Then a short email a day for about ten days, the lessons first and then the course. After that, one chess email every couple of days. That is the whole purpose.

I don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. There are no ads on this site.

Who else touches it

• Systeme.io stores my list and sends my messages
• Cloudflare hosts these pages and counts visits
• Microsoft Clarity records sessions on these pages

All three act on my instructions. When you click a link in my email, a redirect records the click.

How long I keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works in one click.

Your rights

Write to ivan@halfhourchess.com and ask to see your data, correct it, or delete it. I answer in a few days and delete your data when you ask. My postal address appears in the footer of every email I send.

Children

I write this site for adults. Please join only if you are 16 or older.
